  • ½ cup dry apricots, finely chopped
  • 4 dry plums, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp crushed pecan nuts
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • ½ dash nutmeg
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 vanilla powder vial
  • ½ cup yoghurt

Procedure

Preheat the oven at 180οC. Remove the seeds from the apples. Pour some lemon juice in the apple centers.  Place the apples in an upright position inside a cooking pot. In a bowl, mix the dry fruits, the nuts, the cinnamon, the sugar and nutmeg. Melt the butter in a saucepan and pour it inside the bowl. Use a spoon to fill the apples with the content of the bowl. Mix the vanilla with the orange juice and sprinkle on top of the apples.

Place aluminum foil on top of the pot and bake for 35 minutes. Uncover and bake for 35 minutes more. Let the temperature cool down before they are ready to serve. Serve with yoghurt.

Enjoy!
